Terms of Service

Effective 21 February 2026

Agreement

By creating an account or using bookmarks.md (“the service”, “we”, “us”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

The service

bookmarks.md syncs your X (Twitter) bookmarks and delivers them to you via email digests and a searchable library. The service is currently in beta and is provided free of charge. Features, limits, and availability may change at any time.

Beta status and pricing

bookmarks.md is currently free during the beta period. We reserve the right to introduce paid plans, change features, or modify usage limits in the future. We will give reasonable notice before any pricing changes take effect.

Access and account termination

We reserve the right to suspend or revoke your access to the service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason — including but not limited to violation of these terms, abuse of the service, or for operational reasons during the beta period.

You may stop using the service at any time. To delete your account and data, contact us as described in our Privacy Policy.

Your responsibilities

  • You must have a valid X account and comply with X's own terms of service.
  • You are responsible for keeping your API tokens secure. Do not share them publicly.
  • You must not use the service for any unlawful purpose or in a way that harms others.
  • You must not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the service infrastructure.

API usage

API access is subject to rate limits (currently 100 requests per minute per user). Automated or high-volume use that degrades service for other users is not permitted. We may adjust rate limits or revoke API access at any time.

Intellectual property

Your bookmark data remains yours. We do not claim ownership of the content you sync through the service. The bookmarks.md application, design, and code are our property.

Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We make no guarantees about uptime, data availability, or accuracy of synced content. As a beta product, the service may experience interruptions, data loss, or unexpected behaviour.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service, including loss of data.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when we do. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
